Leadership foresight means looking ahead and seeing what the future holds. One thing we see is a trend that the future of Christianity is going to be non-denominational.

If the trends continues, that means more and more churches are not affiliated with a denomination.

Now this has some pluses. The church can be more creative, innovative…but I see a big negative. And here’s the thing, pastors and non-denominational churches, I want you to know—I’ve spent the past 30 years and I’ve earned 2 doctorates in church coaching and consulting.

One thing I see over and over again from pastors who are in non-denominational churches—they often don’t have accountability. They don’t have someone who looks over them, helps them correct.

So if you are a pastor and non-denominational church, you need to make sure have somebody you’re accountable to.
