How do you view the future?
“All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Ps 139:16).
God isn’t surprised.
Francine, a long-time friend of our family, is in the last days of her life. She has been an inspiration to us because in the midst of her devastating cancer, she can’t stop talking about where she’s going.
Francine’s like a child on the way to Disney World. She smiles through her pain. She can’t get out of bed anymore, but her eyes dance with excitement.
The Bible wants us to look at the future with such anticipation. Though we may not see an end to difficulties, the finish line is approaching, and an exciting destination awaits.
As we lead, let’s look beyond our mission and even our longest-term vision. God wants us to grapple with our daily challenges with forever firmly in view.
“He determined the times set for them & the exact places where they should live” (Acts 17:26).
God put us in #leadership right here, right now.
How we lead and live matters during the days God has given us. Our future – even into eternity – depends on decisions we make in the present.
Life really is short. Let’s get after it!
As you lead, run.
“Run in such a way to get the prize” (1 Cor 9:24).
