Last week I mentioned some ways I acquire wisdom (a never-ending process!)

Here are a few more.

1. I befriend leaders a few steps ahead of me. I’ve watched a few people closely for many years. Getting coffee with them is not only enjoyable, it’s like a masterclass.
2. I pass on what I’ve learned to others. This helps reinforce my own learning.
3. I read different genres—fiction, nonfiction, biblical commentary, history, biography. Stretches my mind in various directions.
4. I remember my own sinfulness. The Lord has a way of allowing humbling circumstances into my life that result from pride or some other sin. Humility is an absolute necessity to personal growth.

Lastly, I stay in the game. In other words, if I neglect to be intentional about my growth, I stagnate. I know this from experience!
