Book review: 31 Days with God at Work

The book is formatted to be used as a daily devotional, including a main theme (e.g., “courage”) a scripture (such as Joshua 1:9), a devotional reading and a short prayer regarding your work and leadership. There is one for each day for 31 days.
Here’s an example from the short prayer about Courage from Day 26: “Almighty God, I thank you that you are the fountain of wisdom. Grant me today the wisdom I need in every conversation and for every decision I need to make, so that I may live courageously and that your name be glorified. Amen.”
The author provides a terrific extended workday prayer in the Introduction, which is one of my favorite parts of the book. This would be a useful prayer to begin every workday.
If you are looking for a good way to keep Jesus as the focus of your work, utilize this devotional with your Bible for morning devotions. Or consider setting it beside your computer keyboard as a reminder to start there before work—a glorifying way to start your day.
