Why Jesus wept: a glimpse into divine compassion
Jesus knew that, in a few minutes, he was going to raise Lazarus from the dead.
And yet, when Jesus saw Mary weeping for her dead brother, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And when he arrived at the tomb, he wept.
Jesus wept.
